ACT-SI part of Clean tech for CEE
ACT-SI representing Clean tech for Slovenia and Clean tech for CEE, co-founded by the Foundation for Technology Entrepreneurship from Poland, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strenghten shared mission: accelerating cleantech innovation, scaling industrial solutions, and enhancing resilience across the wider region.
Together, we will work to:
- Empower innovators to clean our air, decarbonize industries, and build sustainable futures for communities across the region.
- Connect startups, SMEs, investors, policymakers, and industrial partners to bridge research, markets, and policy.
- Foster collaboration, remove barriers to growth, and support real-world deployment of cleantech solutions.
“By joining forces, we stand to amplify our collective impact, positioning CEE as a strategic region for a low-carbon, resilient, and competitive European clean-tech future, while ensuring that breakthrough innovations translate into lasting economic and environmental benefits,” said Magdalena Jablonska, co-founder and co-head of Clean tech for CEE.
“This partnership represents an important opportunity for ACT-SI and our member companies, as it enables our experience, needs, and achievements to be recognized beyond Slovenia. At the same time, we share similar challenges in the development and deployment of clean technologies with countries across Central and Eastern Europe. By speaking with a coordinated, collective voice, we can achieve significantly greater impact. More information on the first joint activities, planned for the first quarter of 2026, will follow soon,” says Nina Meglič, Director of ACT-SI.
Besides Clean tech for Slovenia, Cleantech for SouthEast Europe also joins Clean tech for CEE, under the coordination of Clean European Futures led by Suzana Carp: “What happens with the innovation sector in Central, Eastern and SouthEast European Member States is relevant beyond this region. By consolidating the ecosystem here and creating funding streams that are suitable, the EU would create a valley of innovation that in itself we are actually building a new story for Europe at large, a story that touches on enlargement, on leveraging economic growth of a region for the benefit of all and which supports the vision of a clean and propserous European future”.
Cleantech for CEE functions under the Cleantech for Europe umbrella to help Central and Eastern Europe realize its cleantech potential. It tackles urgent challenges – from air pollution and climate change to industrial decarbonization and energy resilience – by supporting innovators in creating solutions that strengthen the environment, the economy, and Europe’s resilience.
