Its areas of operation include clean energy and energy efficiency, circular economy, CO₂ capture and utilization, biotechnological solutions for climate and the environment, and safe water reuse. It brings together experts from industry, science, and the support environment and will act as an interlocutor for industry and the state in creating a more stable investment and regulatory environment for competitive, innovative, and clean industry.

“For the development and use of clean technologies today, we do not need another strategy, but a systematic and stable path from development to industrial application. ACT-SI will operate where projects most often stall—in the regulatory field, financing, and technology transfer to real industrial environments,” emphasized Nina Meglič.

The importance of clean industries is also recognized by policymakers
Clean technologies enable us to produce, drive, heat, and consume resources more efficiently and with less pollution. This is not just about protecting the environment, but about smarter use of energy and materials, which reduces costs and increases competitiveness. Clean technologies include solutions in the field of renewable energy sources, water treatment, waste reuse, and, among other things, animal feed that reduces greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture.
